Millie's Bridal and Formal Shoppe is a multi-generational local business that has been part of the Tullahoma/Coffee County community for almost 48 years. The shoppe began when Millie Peterson started making hats in 1969. While operating out of her house Millie slowly expanded her business over the years into accessories, shoe dyeing, alterations, and bridal and formal wear. In the early 1980s, Millie's had expanded to the point of needing a larger facility. The shoppe moved into the historic property at 316 South Jackson Street where it currently operates. Over the decades Millie's daughters and grandchildren assisted her in the day to day operation of the Shoppe as well as bridal and formal shows held throughout Tennessee and Georgia. In 2000, Lynn Peterson Bryce, Millie's daughter, took over as owner/operator of the bridal & formal shoppe and has spent the last seventeen years continuing to build the business.
